Kodak Black has requested permission to leave his facility in Florida for the final 30 days of his treatment.

The rapper, 24, is currently in the midst of a 90-day treatment program after failing a drug test, which violated his probation.

Doctors working closely with him believe the change would be good for him, as new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, suggest Kodak’s physician and treatment specialist believe he would benefit from a program outside Florida.

The documents did not provide details or information on the star’s location for security reasons.

However, Kodak’s team have made it clear that he needs to be in ‘a different environment for a period of time’ in order to have the best chance at getting better.

Their request comes just one day after the rapper – real name Bill Kahan Kapri – alarmed fans with some very concerning tweets.

Worrying posts included: ‘Sitting In My Room Crying Feel Like Killing Myself,’ followed by a frowning emoji.

The No Flockin’ hitmaker also wrote: ‘So Lonely Depressed Sad & F***** Up … Nobody Love Me Nobody Cares … I’m Everywhere @ Once … Friends Playin In My Head … Girls Playin Wit My Heart … Wish I Can Go Back To The Start I’ll Never Be Famous.’

He has since deleted all of his social media accounts, as his Instagram is also deactivated.

The circumstances surrounding his tweets remain unclear, but fans were quick to send their well wishes and prayers for his recovery during this difficult time.

Kodak’s legal team has now asked for the court’s permission for him to join an out-of-state residential treatment facility to complete his court-ordered residential program.

The musician’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, didn’t reveal anywhere in particular, but said they would ‘love’ for Kodak to move to a different state.

In March 2020, Kodak Black pleaded guilty in a firearms possession case, and he was ordered to get treatment.

He entered treatment after violating terms of his supervised release by failing a drug test.

The judge has yet to rule on his request for a move.
