Indiana Jones filming has been underway for several months, but Harrison Ford and Mads Mikkelsen have been spotted shooting in Sicily together this week.
Production was put on hold for three months after Harrison, 79, suffered a shoulder injury on set, but resumed in September as the long-awaited fifth Indiana Jones movie nears completion.
Harrison and Mads, 55, were seen surrounded by a huge crew in Cefalu, Sicily, with Mads sporting a sharp grey suit and hat for his character.
Crew members were seen milling around the pair, all wearing face masks amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, while the actors took instruction in their downtime.
Harrison was seen swigging from a blue reusable water bottle as he donned Indy’s classic leather jacket, camel shirt and slacks.
It comes after filming finally resumed just a couple of weeks earlier following a ten-week break while Harrison recovered from his injury.
A source told The Sun: ‘Everyone’s relieved to see him back and fighting fit. It’s been a long 10-week wait for him and the crew.
‘Filming has been held up but hopefully now it can get back on track.’
The production had mostly been put on pause during his absence, with just a few scenes being shot with stand-ins in his place.
Harrison had spent the summer recuperating in London, having been spotted riding his bicycle around the cityhttps://metro.co.uk/2021/07/23/harrison-ford-doesnt-let-indiana-jones-injury-stop-him-cycling-14980936/ as well as shopping in Waitrose and Selfridges.
As well as Sicily, Indiana Jones 5 has so far been filmed in London, Glasgow and North Yorkshire following delays due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which shut down the film industry for several months from March 2020.
Indiana Jones 5 is currently scheduled for release on July 29, 2022.
