Strictly Come Dancing contestant Sara Davies was left speechless after she managed to jump way up the leaderboard after a score of 34 points on Saturday night.

The Dragons’ Den regular had a slightly disappointing week one and saw herself trailing at the bottom with 17 points.

But Saturday night saw Sara come into her own as she got to try out her favourite dance, the foxtrot.

It worked out a treat, with the judges offering up a huge amount of praise to the contestant, before giving her an enviable score of 34 points tonight.

Claudia Winkleman pointed out afterwards she had literally ‘doubled’ her score in just a week, with Sara and her partner – and massive Gordon Ramsey fan – Aljaz Skorjanec lost for words.

The judges were in awe of Sara’s gorgeous routine, with Anton Du Beke asking if he would be able to dance it with her in the future as ‘a treat,’

Craig Revel Horwood was stunned, telling Tess Daly: ‘Look at what we’ve just witnessed, absolutely incredible.

‘Ballroom is definitely your bag my darling,’ he reassured Sara.

Motsi Mabuse echoed Craig’s comments, adding: ‘The biggest improvement of the week without a doubt.

‘This is a whole different woman on the dancefloor Just amazing the power of simplicity well done.’

Head judge Shirley Ballas was also impressed, saying: ‘My goodness! Bottom of the leaderboard last week and you come in here, that heel turn just makes my heart sing…

‘I don’t think I’ve got a mark in there that’s high enough for you today.’

‘Oh heaven’s above,’ Anton began, ‘As a little treat for me, if you’d be so kind at some stage in the future I would be honoured if you would allow me to dance that dance with me.’

‘With nobody else but you,’ teased Aljaz.

‘You were a joy! You’re a natural talent, with Sara telling him: ‘We worked really hard!’

‘That leg action was worthy of this final or any other final ever,’ declared Anton.

Sara was awarded two eights and two nines from the panel, also giving Aljaz his highest-ever score in the foxtrot since joining the competition.

Elsewhere tonight, emotions were running particularly high as Tilly Ramsay excelled in the Charleston, leaving her top of the leaderboard.

Proud mum and dad Tana and Gordon Ramsay were spotted crying in the audience after her fun-filled performance.

Greg Wise performed the first couple’s choice routine of the series, which he dedicated to his late sister Clare.
