Cara Delevingne proved she is well and truly daring by joining her fearless friends in swimming with sharks.

The model, 29, celebrated with friends as she snorkeled in the ocean with merely a bikini for protection.

Thankfully, we didn’t need to be there to get a glimpse of the action, as the runway star shared a series of snaps on Instagram for her 43.7m followers to enjoy without needing to get their feet wet.

One picture shows Cara wearing a black and white houndstooth two-piece she swam beneath the water’s surface with a shark just metres in front of her.

She captioned the pic with lyrics from a Little Mermaid song after channeling her inner Ariel with the underwater adventure, writing: ‘Under the sea darling, it’s better down where it’s wetter, take it from me.’

The comments were flooded with stunned fans, who admitted they could never do something as dangerous.

Sister and fellow model Poppy also added a cheeky comment: ‘Oooo I’d nibble on you toooooo [sic]’ followed by a pulling tongues emoji.

Elsewhere in the series of snaps, Cara posed with her thrill-seeking friends on the boat, joking in the caption: ‘Shark bait hoo ha ha.’

The pals enjoyed the experience at Islandview Hawaii, a family-owned business on the North Shore of Oahu that offers tours and opportunities for daredevils to tick swimming with sharks off their bucket lists.

Cara’s shark-infested escapade came after her recent appearance at the Met Gala, where she used her outfit to convey a powerful message.

Not one to shy away from expressing her opinions, the Suicide Squad star got political on the night of In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.

Wearing a vest with ‘peg the patriarchy’ written across the front, she looked sophisticated in white cigarette trousers and peep-toe heels, with a matching blazer thrown over her shoulders.

Speaking to Vogue about her strong outfit choice, she said: ‘If someone doesn’t know what this means, you’re going to have to look it up. It’s about women empowerment, gender equality, it’s a bit like, “Stick it to the man.”’

Elsewhere, the movie star wrapped filming of season two Carnival Row.

Starring alongside Orlando Bloom, Cara plays Vignette Stonemoss.

A release date has not yet been confirmed as filming was put on hold due to the pandemic.
