Khloe Kardashian has opened up about the side effects she experienced while battling Covid-19 in 2020.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star recalled her body’s reaction to the respiratory virus during a Twitter Space chat with fans on Tuesday night.
‘My hair really fell out with Covid,’ the 37-year-old explained. ‘So after, it was really a struggle for a minute.’
Temporary hair loss is listed as a possible side effect of Covid-19. Hair loss frequently happens due to stress, which is an effect called telogen effluvium, and severe illnesses like coronavirus can cause stress on the body.
The Good American co-founder, who previously confirmed that she had contracted the virus in March last year, explained that the only common symptom she didn’t experience was a loss of smell and taste.
She noted: ‘But I had everything else — like anything else you can imagine.’
The conversation came up while the Revenge Body host was discussing New Zealand-based collagen brand Dose & Co.
The reality star, who is a global spokesperson for the brand, claimed she began taking their collagen powder to help stimulate hair growth.
The mother-of-one’s struggles with Covid-19 was documented in the final season of KUWTK.
The reality star previously discussed how difficult it was to go through a health scare while having to keep her distance from three-year-old daughter True.
‘I don’t care about how beautiful of a place you have, being taken away from your child — because I couldn’t be around my daughter … is the hardest part,’ she explained during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in October 2020.
