Netflix has renewed its raunchy drama Sex/Life for a second season.

The announcement came today through the streamer’s official Twitter account where they posted a video compiling many of the fans’ reactions to the first season.

According to Netflix, 67 million households watched the eight-part drama when it first debuted in June of this year.

And apparently, 20 million paused and clicked rewind when it came to one particularly revealing moment in episode three, which became the subject of a TikTok trend and left Celebrity Goggleboxers open-mouthed.

If you watched the show, you know what we mean…

Now get ready for more sex in your life as Sex/Life will soon be back with more, though it might be a while till season two will hit our screens.

Season one followed Billie Connelly (Sarah Shahi) who becomes dissatisfied in her marriage to the loving and reliable Cooper (Mike Vogel).

She begins to fantasise about her past relationship with ex-boyfriend Brad, played by Shahi’s real-life boyfriend Adam Demos, with the series flashing back to her free-spirited youth living in New York.

And a lot of emphasis was given to the passionate exploits she shared with her former lover.

When Brad comes back into Billie’s life and the two start an affair and throughout the season, Billie enjoys her newfound sexual satisfaction, which also strengthens her marriage to Cooper.

By the end of season one, she has to make a choice and (spoilers!) she walks away with Brad.

But that doesn’t mean her marriage with Cooper is over just yet as season two will bring about even more complicated relationships as Billie tries to navigate the balance between a satisfying sex life and a happy home life.

Shahi previously said she was hopeful the show would return for a second instalment, writing on Instagram: ‘Fingers crossed! We’ve been in the top ten for over a week in 86 countries, including the US and that’s bananas!’

Demos also confirmed the news of the second series on Instagram, saying the new episodes were ‘coming soon’.

Sex/Life is available to stream on Netflix.
