AEW Rampage: Grand Slam delivered as Homicide debuted to help Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley to victory.

The main event of All Elite Wrestling’s bumper two-hour edition of Friday’s show in New York was headlined by Mox and Kingston battling Suzuki-gun in a Lights Out match.

The match was as brutal and hard hitting as you’d expect, with Minoru Suzuki and Lance Archer taking it to their opponent’s in Eddie’s hometown.

With Moxley tied with his hands behind his back, Kingston looked to be finished as Archer was set to put him through a table.

However, Homicide’s music hit and the TNA, ROH and all-round indie wrestling veteran came through the crowd.

He blasted Archer, set Mox free and handed Eddie – whom he has teamed with and faced plenty of times over the years – a weapon.

In the end, Kingston picked up the win on Archer as Suzuki and Mox continued to brawl, bringing an over the top brawl to a satisfying and enthralling end.

This was an all-out fight in the best way, with the crowd hanging onto every moment, and Homicide’s appearance took this to another level.

Elsewhere on the show, Rampage opened up with CM Punk beating PowerHouse Hobbs while giving the rising star an opportunity to shine before winning with the GTS in his first TV match in seven years.

Adam Cole – who continues to get a phenomenal reaction every time his music hits – teamed up with The Young Bucks in a winning effort over Christian and Jurassic Express, while Men of the Year beat Chris Jericho and Jake Hager.

They got beat down by some of Dan Lambert’s MMA associates, with Paige VanZandt helping the attack on Chris Jericho.

Lucha Bros teamed up with Santana and Ortiz to beat the Hardy Family Office, with Orange Cassidy taking out Jack Evans mid-match, leading to Matt Hardy setting up a Hair vs. Hair match between the two for Dynamite.

Elsewhere, Penelope Ford stole a win from Anna Jay.

And we also saw Sammy Guevara and Fuego del Sol come out with cue cards, but Miro came out to interrupt and utterly destroyed them both – lovely stuff.
