The Great British Sewing Bee will have a brand new look when it returns as Sara Pascoe takes over as host.
The comedian will be replacing Joe Lycett who kicks off his tour in March 2022.
A sweet photo shared from the show’s Twitter account gave fans the first look at Sara in the studio with judges Patrick Grant and Esme Young.
The trio were all smiles as they posed for a selfie together, showing the stand up star is settling in very nicely.
‘We’re bursting at the seams with joy that @sarapascoe will be joining Sewing Bee as our new host. Welcome to the family, Sara!’ a message from the Sewing Bee Twitter said.
Sara shared the tweet to her own timeline and added: ‘Beyond excited and very very happy!!’
The Great British Sewing Bee has been going since 2013 and was originally hosted by Claudia Winkleman for four series before Joe took over.
It pits talented amateur sewers against each other to be named Britain’s best home sewer through a series of challenges, judged by both Patrick and Esme.
Patrick has been judge since the beginning with May Martin from series one to three with Esme coming in the series after.
Following a three year hiatus, Sewing Bee made a welcome return in 2019 with Joe at the helm.
The 2021 series, which ended in June, saw Serena become the programme’s youngest ever winner at 21.
Joe’s tour kicks off in Plymouth in March 2022 and will run until September.
The TV star also fronts Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back and Life Drawing Live!.
